Hooroo You Guys

Hooroo You Guys
I remember when I first saw
My scattered Dad and Dreamy Mum
I was but a kid. A bundled mismatch.
A scary cross of Kelp and dust
The sea's caprice, the drover's steady kith
I lived with you [through thick and thin]
You were my only kin
You adored me and I travelled a road so sweet
For all those happy years
No worries, companions, Mum and Dad
And now I float upon the tide
That ebbs for every man
And you are there with weary hearts.
You don't understand
How happy life has been for me
Thankyou Mum and thankyou Dad
For making it so great
I am now at peace at last, a traveller at the pass
And please believe my earnest plea
Worry not for me!
With Love
Charlie
